In 2010 Rox Speed FX released a new handguard that would change how a rider protects their hands. Traditional handguards were made of molded plastic with plastic or cheesy mounts. It wasn't uncommon to go through a set of them in a season if you were backcountry riding.
Rox saw the need for a better option and created the Flex Tec handguard. They are built using a three-part system, molded flexible plastic, a durable cover, and billet aluminum mounts. This design did 2 things: increase the coverage to protect the hands from wind and increase the durability of the handguard so you only have to buy once.
Three different mounts are available depending on your snowmobile and are machined out of billet aluminum.
The plastic backbone is molded out of a plastic that is extremely flexible, preventing the plastic from breaking in a rollover or encounter with a tree.
The durable cover slides over the backbone and straps to the handguards. Covers are available in numerous colors, allowing you to match almost any color combo you may have.
I won't run any other handguard and haven't since their release in 2010. Between all my sleds and every rider in my group, we have well over 25,000 miles on them with very limited failures. In all those miles, we have bent one set of mounts and torn a few covers due to excessive abuse.
They look great, are nearly indestructible and keep your hands protected while riding off the trail. On trail, they cut the wind far better than a traditional handguard. This is why we sell, promote, and use this product.
